  Keeper of the Lost Cities - Shannon Messenger, books 1 and 2 *Spoiler Warnings* Sophie I was recommended this series by one of my friends. Apparently, it’s really good…after the first few books. Before reading this, I had never wanted to slap the main character's face so hard. Sophie Foster has the worst case of chosen one syndrome. She just happens to be a gifted talented 12-year-old high school senior with a photographic memory who can read minds and also turns out to be an elf who has already manifested a power when most elves her age haven’t, who just also happens to develop another ability which is already rare but the ability she develops only has one other registered user, and she happens to meet an alicorn of which there are only 2 in the world and she can read the alicorns mind. The Kids are Gonna Ask  Sahnan Haber Summary: In The Kids are Gonna Ask , by Gretchen Anthony, siblings Thomas and Savanna become a sensation and get caught in a national debate because of their podcast that went viral. The two never knew their dad, because he left before they were born and then when they were 13, their mother died, so they went to live with their grandmother, Maggie. Maggie has a very fun, eccentric personality, and she tries to lighten the kids' moods and make their life better. One thing she does to help with this is inviting strangers that she meets and finds interesting to come have dinner with them. Over the years, Thomas and Savanna meet many interesting characters, but the book only starts when they are 17 and have started a podcast: “Maggie’s Dinner Salon” in which they interview the various people that Maggie finds to hear all of their crazy stories.  Review of My Hero Academia By: Jonah Stamps Summary           Imagine that one day, you watch the news and see a child who was born who was bioluminescent. Then you begin hearing reports of kids with extraordinary powers, which are called quirks,  begin appearing all around the world. Well, if this seems cool, then you should read My Hero Academia. The main character's name is Deku, who was unfortunately born into a world without a quirk, which is extremely rare at that time. It was always his dream to be a hero, which has become a very popular job, as many people use their powers to do bad things. He was absolutely crushed when he found out he was quirkless, but one day, he meets the strongest hero, All Might. All Might decides to give Deku his quirk, as he sees potential in Deku. Deku then becomes a very powerful hero, and as he is doing good things and saving people, he must fight many powerful villains in order to survive. Review   ...
