The two never knew their dad, because he left before they were born and then when they were 13, their mother died, so they went to live with their grandmother, Maggie. Maggie has a very fun, eccentric personality, and she tries to lighten the kids' moods and make their life better. One thing she does to help with this is inviting strangers that she meets and finds interesting to come have dinner with them. Over the years, Thomas and Savanna meet many interesting characters, but the book only starts when they are 17 and have started a podcast: “Maggie’s Dinner Salon” in which they interview the various people that Maggie finds to hear all of their crazy stories. The main character's name is Deku, who was unfortunately born into a world without a quirk, which is extremely rare at that time. It was always his dream to be a hero, which has become a very popular job, as many people use their powers to do bad things. He was absolutely crushed when he found out he was quirkless, but one day, he meets the strongest hero, All Might. All Might decides to give Deku his quirk, as he sees potential in Deku.   Tell Me Three Things written by Julie Buxbaum is a book about a girl named Jessie who has to go through a whole new life after her mom died and her father found someone new. Jessie is currently 16 years old and her mom died due to cancer when she was 14. Her father found someone new online in California and took Jessie with him to live their lives in California.  Moving to California from Chicago meant Jessie would have to transfer to a whole new school, not knowing anyone there. As she goes through her first day of school, she receives an anonymous text from a student at her school. She doesn't know who they are and why they are texting her but this mysterious person refers to themselves as Somebody/Nobody or SN for short. The Librarian of Auschwitz - Antonio Iturbe *spoiler warning-ish* The Librarian of Auschwitz follows Edita Kraus, more commonly known as Dita. Dita is a 15-year-old Jewish girl who was living in Auschwitz. Dita is a real person, and all of the events are based on history. As the title says, she is the “librarian” for Block 31, the family camp. She conceals books and gives them to the instructors to teach the kids when the Germans aren’t paying attention, and it is her job to gather the books and hide when inspections happen. She eventually gets transferred to another camp where even without gas chambers, people are dropping dead everywhere.  The big aspect that makes The Librarian of Auschwitz unique are the historical events. Every once in a while, they will drop a sentence that sounds like it came out of a documentary such as “She would later die along with her sister from typhoid” or something along those lines. Review of Little Brother by Cory Doctorow Sahnan Haber  Have you ever been framed for something you didn’t do? In Little Brother , Highschool student, Marcus, ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time, and is suspected of being involved in a recent terrorist attack on his hometown of San Francisco. Marcus and 3 of his friends are then shipped away to a prison by the Department of Homeland Security to be interrogated for the next few days. After returning home under a government watchlist, Marcus finds that San Francisco had turned into a dystopian, police state in which everyone is a potential terrorist. Marcus and his friends start an underground revolution through the internet to try and fight back for their freedom, all the while, trying not to get caught by the Department of Homeland Security.  Dragon Ball Z Summary Dragon Ball Z is the second book series of the Dragon Ball Universe. The main character, Goku, who is the most powerful being on earth, goes on many adventures with his friends. The first dragon ball series focuses on fighting beings on earth, the second focuses on Aliens and Robots, and the third focuses on time travel and other universes. Early in the series, Goku learns he is an alien, and he has to fight his evil alien bother, then he fights an alien named Frieza and becomes more powerful than ever before, he then fights some powerful androids, and fights a. artificially created organism called cell and the group defeats cell, and finally, the gang fights a pink alien named Buu and defeat them.
