Review of Death Note
By Jonah Stamps
Summary
Death Note is a very good book series. It is about a high school boy named Light Yagami, who is extremely smart. He is tired of his boring life, but one day he finds a note book. This note book is very special, it is a death note, which means that you can write anyone's name in it and they die. At first, Light uses his new found powers for the good of the world, but soon the police start investigating and Light slowly is forced into insanity. He kills all the police officers that are investigating him. I haven't read past this point yet so I don't want to give you any wrong info about the show
Review
My honest opinion on this book is that it is very good so far. As I said, I haven't gotten very far into the book series. I love the how the book shows the change in Lights view on what he should be doing, he went from only killing horrible criminals, to killing innocent people. This book shows that power can easily change and corrupt people. I love how this book shows that even if you think you are doing the right thing, some people may think otherwise and can destroy you for it. Overall, I give this series a 7/10
Great review, Jonah! Loved how you were able to capture the ideals and summary in great detail. Defiantly putting this on my readings list :)
ReplyDeleteI watched this and I thought it was really interesting to hear his motives, thinking that the world would be a better place if he killed all of the criminals. It's also cool to see the way that L figures out who he is. In the future it would be cool to see you do a review comparing the book to the show.
ReplyDeleteHey Jonah! I liked reading you blog as it was quite engaging, and I will definitely make time to read and watch this series!
